17 internet fraudsters jailed in Enugu

The Enugu Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction of 17 internet fraudsters before Justice I.M Buba of the Federal High Court sitting in Enugu, Enugu. The defendants are Ohazuruike Christian, Emeli Ikenna, Echebiri Ifeanyichukwu Victor, Echefulam Uche, Augustine Dimgba Ikeoha, Orji Patrick Onyebuchi, Egwu Collins Somto and Echezona Emmanuel Nwoye. Three men have been arrested under the Terrorism Act after a man was killed in a car explosion outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital. A taxi carrying one passenger pulled up just before 11:00 GMT on Remembrance Sunday, as a national two minutes’ silence was due to begin, and exploded. Taliban forces held a military parade in Kabul on Sunday using captured American-made armoured vehicles and Russian helicopters in a display that showed their ongoing transformation from an insurgent force to a regular standing army.
