Former DSS director general, Ita Ekpeyong has been released by EFCC

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released a former Director-General of the Department of State Services, Mr Ita Ekpeyong, hours after his arrest. EFCC officials supported by armed policemen had arrested Mr Ekpeyong on Thursday in his residence in Asokoro, Abuja. Details about the reason for his arrest are sketchy but the arrest came after his successor Mr Lawal Daura, was fired by acting President Yemi Osinbajo. Some subscribers have urged StarTimes to upgrade its content

Some subscribers of StarTimes, the Chinese-owned Pay TV service provider, have described the content broadcast on the platform as below standard and called for an upgrade of its content offerings. The subscribers took to StarTimes’ official Twitter handle, @StarTimes_Ng, to ventilate their dissatisfaction with what the Pay TV provider offers on its bouquets.
