Shi'ite leader Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky has been released following a court order

Mr Anthony Nwafor, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Nkanu East/West constituency candidate for House of Representatives has advised the Federal Government to review the continued detention of Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, after several court orders. Nwafor, gave the advice in a statement while reacting to pockets of protests by the followers of El-Zakzaky known as Islamic Movement of Nigeria, on Wednesday. He also urged the members of the group not to take laws into their hands because their leader was in detention. Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) says only Lagos can pay the N30,000 minimum wage

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) on Tuesday agreed to pay a national minimum wage of N22,500, up from the existing N18,000. The Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Zamfara State, Abdul’aziz Yari disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the end of its 2nd emergency meeting held in Abuja. Yari said that the decision was arrived at after a briefing from the forum representatives at the Tripartite Committee. Chelsea assistant coach Marco Ianni runs past the Manchester United bench after Ross Barkley scored a late equaliser

Chelsea coach Marco Ianni has been fined £6,000 by the Football Association, FA, for his celebration after a 96th-minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw against Manchester United. Ianni celebrated in front of the United bench, sparking a reaction from United manager Jose Mourinho. The FA said Ianni had admitted an “improper conduct charge”. Mourinho was not punished by the FA for his part in the fracas but “formally reminded of his responsibilities”. The Portuguese said after the match that Ianni had apologised to him for the the incident, which took place in the Premier League game at Stamford Bridge on 20 October.
