UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called for an immediate end to the fighting in Ethiopia. Mr Guterres, who was visiting Colombia to mark five years since a peace deal was signed with former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) guerrillas, asked the Ethiopian government to follow the example. “The peace process here in Colombia inspires me to make an urgent appeal to the protagonists of the conflict in Ethiopia for an unconditional and immediate ceasefire to save the country,” he said. Seeks intervention of Head of Service, Ministry of Education The Senate on Wednesday waded into the lingering crisis at the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration. Sweden’s first ever female prime minister has resigned just hours after she was appointed. Magdalena Andersson, was announced as leader on Wednesday but resigned after her coalition partner quit the government and her budget failed to pass. A North Korean man is to be executed for bringing back a copy of Netflix’s Squid Game into the country. The smuggler, a student, is said to have returned from China with a digital version of the hit South Korean series stored on a hidden USB flash drive.
