A group known as the Vanguard for Transparent Leadership and Democracy, has faulted President Muhammadu Buhari’s decision to merge the Ministry of Finance with the Ministry of Budget and National Planning. This was disclosed in a statement on Wednesday by the group’s National President, Igbini Emmanuel, shortly after Buhari had inaugurated and assigned portfolios to the 43 ministers he appointed recently. A suspect of cyber fraud, Oseghale Collins, was on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 arrested by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office at his hideout in Benin City, Edo State. Collins who specialises in Business Email Compromise, BEC, was arrested alongside two brothers, Stephen and Fred Emefiele, who are also alleged to be involved in internet fraud. Mr Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transportation, on Wednesday returned to his familiar turf with happy workers of the ministry celebrating his return to a ministry he  headed from 2015 to May this year. A U.S. military MQ-9 drone was shot down in Yemen’s Dhamar governorate, southeast of the Houthi-controlled capital Sanaa, two U.S. officials told Reuters on Wednesday. A Houthi military spokesman had earlier said that air defences had brought down a U.S. drone. The officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the drone was shot down late on Tuesday.
