The Federal Government has declared Monday as Public Holiday to mark the 2019 Eid-ul-Mawlud in commemoration of the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad. Nigerian confraternity, Black Axe popularly known as Aye has donated some mini-traffic shelter to the Osun State Police Command. The group also known as Neo-Black Movement of Africa is notorious for cultism across Nigeria which has resulted to killings and civil unrest. Foremost cinematographer and filmmaker, Deji Adesanya is in need of N3.5 million for an urgent spinal cord surgery at Babcock University Teaching Hospital in Ogun state. In October 2019, he was also diagnosed by the Orthopaedic department as having spinal cord injury as a result of an accident he had some 27 years ago, which has now degenerated to a severe disease  of the lumbar spine. The Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) said that the country lost 41.9 billion dollars to stolen and refined crude oil products in ten years. NEITI disclosed this in its policy brief titled, “Stemming the Increasing Cost of Oil Theft to Nigeria” released in Abuja on Wednesday. A breakdown shows that the nation lost 38.5 billion dollars on crude theft alone, 1.56 billion dollars on domestic crude and another 1.8 billion dollars on refined petroleum products between 2009 and 2018. This followed the unanimous adoption of a motion moved by Rep. Babangida Ibrahim at the plenary, on Wednesday.
