Gunmen have killed a soldier on guard duty at the home of former President Goodluck Jonathan in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State. Multiple sources said about three of the gunmen were killed by the soldiers, who foiled their attempt to break into the house. Registration for 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME) begins on January 13 and ends February 17, the Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, has said. The JAMB registrar said the examination would hold between March 14 and April 4, 2020 while an optional mock examination for candidates would take place on February 18, 2020. Gunmen on Sunday invaded the official residence of the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Water Resources, Mr Nengi Talbot, and abducted his six year old son, Antonio. The police confirmed the abduction took place at about 10:30pm on Sunday at the Commissioners’ quarter in Opolo axis of Yenagoa, the state capital.
