The Supreme Court has nullified the election of Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party as the governor of Imo State. Two teachers, a male and a female, have been abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers in the South South state of Edo. The two teachers were abducted on the day public and private schools resumed for academic activities. They were abducted while teaching at Obi Primary School at Obi Camp in Avbiosi community Owan West local government area. Witnesses said the gunmen stormed the school at about 10:30 am and ordered six teachers in the school to follow them after shooting sporadically. A Tinubu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos has dismissed a car theft charge filed by the police against hip hop artist, Adeyemi Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, his two brothers and their cousin. Chief Magistrate Tajudeen Elias made the order on Tuesday morning after receiving a settlement agreement between the complainant Mr Adelekan Ademola and the four defendants. A commercial motorcyclist and his female passenger were killed by a fast-moving truck on Sunday night at Osubi in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State. The Nigeria Geological Survey Agency (NGSA) on Monday confirmed that there was a minor earth tremor in Bwari Area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Mr Imam Kaka, a Deputy Director in the agency and head of Geophysics Department confirmed the development to NAN on Monday in Abuja.
