The news of the actress’s death was communicated by actress Foluke Daramola-Salako in a social media post after the actress’ daughter, Bisi Aisha, announced her mother’s passing. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, secured a total of 2220 (Two Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty) convictions across all its Commands in 2021. The figure which emerged from a review of the Commission’s performance in the outgone year, shows that the Lagos Command of the agency recorded the most convictions with 481, followed by the Ibadan Command with 324 convictions, while the Port Harcourt Zonal Command had 230 convictions. President Muhammadu Buhari says he cannot release Nnamdi Kanu because that would be interfering with the judiciary. Veteran Nollywood actress, Sidikat Odukanwi, popularly known as Iyabo Oko is dead. She died on Wednesday evening after many years of battling stroke and other health challenges. The 61-year old actress struggles with with ill-health had forced her to take a long break from acting. Her passing was confirmed by her daughter and a colleague in the movie industry, Foluke Daramola-Salako. In a post on her Instagram page, Foluke wrote, “And finally we lost her.. The Nigerian government on Wednesday introduced an excise duty of N10 per litre on all non-alcoholic, carbonated and sweetened beverages commonly referred to as soft drinks. Zainab Ahmed, Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning made the disclosure during a public presentation of the 2022 Appropriation Act in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital. Ahmed said the excise duty was introduced in line with the Finance Act passed by the National Assembly and signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari on December 31, 2021.
