Managing Director, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Nigeria Ltd, Michael Yigao, says the 15 Chinese medical experts that arrived in the country on April 8 are helping to train its staff in the prevention of the coronavirus. Yigao revealed this on Monday while reacting to questions raised by the media and opposition parties on May 14, as to the whereabouts of the Chinese medical team. President Muhammadu Buhari has urged governors to work closely with the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, to engender better harmony in the daunting task of checking the pandemic. The UK’s Office of Communications (Ofcom) has sanctioned Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s Loveworld which broadcasts the religious television channel Loveworld, after a news programme and a live sermon linking 5G to Covid-19. A statement by Ofcom, the regulator said investigation found that a report on Loveworld News included unsubstantiated claims that 5G was the cause of the pandemic, and that this was the subject of a ‘global cover-up’. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 216 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Monday to pass the 6000 mark. The 216 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 6175. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 50 patients from isolation centers across the country and nine deaths were also reported. President Muhammadu Buhari has directed that the first phase of the eased lockdown measure will be sustained for another two weeks. The Nike Air Jordan 1s, worn by Jordan during his rookie season with the Chicago Bulls, were expected to fetch between $100,00-$150,000 at Sotheby’s. Chelsea and England winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was arrested in the early hours of Sunday after police responded to a report of an unwell woman. An ambulance was called to an address in south-west London at 03:53 BST and the woman was taken to hospital. Hudson-Odoi, 19, was arrested at the scene.
