The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a change in the venue and time of its National Executive Committee meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2025.
The meeting, which was scheduled to take place in the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, will now begin at 2 p.m. in the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa.
Felix Morka, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, stated this in a statement on Wednesday.
“The change of venue from the party’s National Secretariat – 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja – to the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is due to logistical reasons,” Morka said.
The timing of this NEC session is critical, with the party expected to endorse a successor to former national chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned in June citing health issues.
His resignation has left a leadership vacuum, and party sources think that Ali Bukar Dalori, the acting chairman, may stay in his capacity until a proper elected convention is held.
The NEC will review updates from the Constitution Review Committee and e-registration operations ahead of the 2027 elections.
