    APC announces Lalong, Gagdi, winners of Reps, senate primaries in Plateau

    The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the winners of Plateau's Senate and House of Representatives primaries.
    Lalong, who just completed his tenure as governor of Plateau state, is also a member of president Bola Tinubu's cabinet as minister of labour and employment.

    The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the winners of Plateau’s Senate and House of Representatives primaries.

    Mrs. Stella Oketete, chairman of the APC primary election committee, declared the winners on Tuesday night in Jos.

    Oketete stated that the primaries were held calmly and transparently in various constituencies and senatorial zones.

    She stated that the party’s candidates for the House of Representatives included Beni Lar, Langtang North/Langtang South; Dachung Bagos, Jos South/Jos East; Abubakar Shaibu, Jos North/Bassa; and Yusuf Gagdi, Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam federal constituencies.

    Other candidates she mentioned included Ishaya Lalu, Mangu/Bokkos, Dalyop Fom, Barkin Ladi/Riyom, Joe Dashe, Mikang/Qua’an Pan/Shendam, and Idris Wase, all from the state’s Wase federal constituency.

    Oketete also announced Sen. Simon Lalong as the candidate for Plateau South, David Barji for Plateau Central, and Simon Mwadkwon for Plateau North senatorial districts.

    The chairman praised Gov. Caleb Mutfwang for his support and cooperation in allowing his committee to carry out its duties properly.
