Nigerians have alleged that Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity and Official Presidential Spokesperson, is tired of lying for the President Bola Tinubu administration.

This remark follows the announcement of the stepping aside of the presidential spokesman for his official duties.

Chronicle NG reports that Ngelale announced his decision to take an indefinite leave of absence from his official duties.

This was announced in a statement signed by Ngelale on Friday.

According to his statement, Ngelale cited pressing medical issues affecting his immediate family as the primary reason for this decision.

    • BREAKING: Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu’s spokesperson resigns

“This agonising decision was taken after significant consultations with my family over the past several days as a vexatious medical situation has worsened at home,” Ngelale explained.

The leave of absence will affect Ngelale’s multiple roles within the president Bola Tinubu-led administration.

In addition to his position as Presidential Spokesperson, he will also temporarily step away from his duties as Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and Chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen.

Ngelale mentioned the importance of his responsibilities, stating, “While I fully appreciate that the ship of state waits for no man, this agonising decision was taken after significant consultations with my family over the past several days.”

The span of Ngelale’s absence remains uncertain, as he described it as an “indefinite leave.”

However, he stated his intention to return to his national service roles once circumstances allow.

“I look forward to returning to full-time national service when time, healing, and fate permit,” Ngelale added.

Reacting to the news, Nigerians in series of statements on X alleged that the presidential spokesman is tired of lying and defending the Tinubu-led administration.

In a comment on X, Omotayo Williams mentioned that, ”To defend this failed administration, you must lose all elements of integrity. Say Satan is Jesus, and Jesus is Satan, as required. By the end of the tenure, you become a finished man, career and family-wise. It’s not an easy job.”

For Olamilekan, he alleged that Ngelale gets sleepless nights due to ”lying” for the federal government.

”Man cannot continue to lie to Nigerians anymore. His conscience doesn’t to him to sleep,” Olamilekan stated.

Chronicle NG highlights below some of the reactions of Nigerians to the news of Ngelale’s withdrawal as presidential spokesman.

King Wizzy, ”It’s not easy, the same way @BashirAhmaad lost himself defending incompetent Buhari for years; the stigma will be on him till forever. Ajuri is a man that loves his reputation. No wonder @chiditweets042 said he would have been a POS agent.”

Buhil, ”He can no longer continue in the deception. Sometimes such decisions are a result of family pressure. Family members relate to the outside world and bring back adverse reports of his lies and propaganda on Nigerians. I heard he is a Daddy G.O.; I guess his flocks are Gen Zs too.”

Solomon Chidie, ”Defending APC and Tinubu is the hardest job anyone can take. Your heart must be as dark as Satan to stand and defend illegality and go back to have a sound sleep.”

Cletus Miles, ”Defending too many lies from Tinubu makes his blood pressure over high.”

Praise, ”His nemesis are beginning to catch up with him starting from his family level. You can’t boldly defend inhumanity, crystal clear lies, and wickedness and think nature won’t come for you in a way.”

Kendo, ”There’s no way one can defend Tinubu or APC without looking or sounding stupid. He was doing well while he was with Channels TV. The moment he joined APC and Tinubu, he lost it.”

Prince Oge, ”No living human being can defend Tinubu and APC with his normal brain; Ngelale is very tired of Tinubu’s criminal matters.”

Anthony, ”The most difficult job to take up is the job of defending APC and Tinubu’s government.

”You’ll defend and lie to the point where even you can’t take it anymore, and if you have a responsible family, that’s even more deceitful.”

Ikeume Nwokedi, ”While there’s no light, no food, no fuel, and Nigerians suffer deeply, clueless, and sadistic, Agbado, who lives large, wants to increase the suffering more by increasing the gas price.

”Even Ajuri is tired of the blatant deceit and living large among squalor and suffering children.”
