Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman is reportedly open to joining Turkish champions Galatasaray if the club can reach an agreement with Atlético Madrid on a transfer fee.

According to reports in Turkey, Galatasaray has increased their interest in the Nigerian international as they prepare for the 2026/27 season, with fellow Super Eagles player Victor Osimhen reportedly playing a crucial role in the pursuit.

Osimhen, who has been heavily linked with a permanent move to the Istanbul club, is said to have spoken with Lookman about joining him at Galatasaray.

The Turkish champions are looking to bolster their attack after winning their fourth Süper Lig title in a row and their 26th overall.

Reports from the Turkish outlet According to Aspor, Lookman has replied positively to the interest but has made it plain that any deal is contingent on reaching an agreement with Atlético Madrid.

The 27-year-old, who is under contract with the Spanish club until 2030, is alleged to have warned Galatasaray officials that any move would have to be negotiated with Atlético first.

That reaction has been seen as encouragement for the Turkish giants, who are currently weighing the financial ramifications of a deal for the Nigerian, which is said to be worth roughly €40 million.

Despite his recent move to Atlético Madrid, Lookman’s future has sparked curiosity, with Turkish rivals Fenerbahçe also keeping an eye on him.

Galatasaray’s pursuit could be affected further by developments involving Osimhen, with rumors indicating that Atlético Madrid is interested in the striker, despite the Turkish club’s determination to keep him.

Galatasaray’s prospects of bringing two of Nigeria’s best stars to Istanbul are currently dependent on their ability to reach an agreement with Atlético Madrid, with Lookman allegedly willing to contemplate the transfer provided the teams can find common ground.
