Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger state has confirmed that he is the new acting chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC).
In a statement on Tuesday by Mary Noel-Berje, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, she repeatedly addressed him as acting chairman of the ruling party.
The statement also confirmed that the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party will be held next week.
“All Progressives Congress APC has adopted report of the Zoning Committee of the party,” the statement said.
Adding that, the acting chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) Abubakar Sani Bello made this known to newsmen after a stakeholders meeting at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
The acting chairman stated that the report would soon be made public.
Responding on when the party will hold its National Executive Committee NEC, meeting, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello expressed the hope that the meeting would hold next week.
It would be recalled that barely 24 hours ago the APC Zoning Committee headed by it chairman and Governor of Kwara state Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq submitted its report to the national acting leadership of the party.
