Young music talent and potential hit maker, Nwosu Chisom Joel, popularly known as Rewiz is setting the stage ahead of his launch into the Nigeria’s music industry.

The 18-year old Rewiz from Orlu Local Government of Imo State is already putting finishing touches to his big lead: “2 Million” that is billed to drop on 16th December.

Speaking with journalists in a chat in Lagos at the weekend, the upcoming music artist, assured that, his first single will be followed by another hit titled: “Busy Body” to be released on the 25th December, 2021.

Commenting on how his music career started, Rewiz stated that, he is not new to music, informing that he started writing music scripts as early as, age 11.

“I used to write music for people. I never thought of going into music full-time. But at a certain stage I decided to write” Free Me” for myself. That was when I made up my mind earlier this year to join fully”.

Although, Rewiz plays Afro-beat genre of music but has special admiration for both Joeboy and CKAY, two famous artists that he holds at a great esteem.

Unlike most professional musicians would admit, Rewiz said the genesis of his music exploit is neither in the church nor in any choir. Rather, the afrobeat singer, pointed out, that his music career took-off, way back in his secondary school days at Rock Foundation College in Onitsha, Anambra State.

On his target audience, the Imo-born musician said that his music transcends both the youths and adults, focusing on love specifically.

Assessing the Nigeria’s music industry, Rewiz scored most of the key players in the entertainment industry very high but maintained that much need to be done in order to position the industry to its right of place.

He however, added that “The Nigeria’s music stakeholders are doing very well but my plan is that when I get there, I will take afrobeat to the next level”.

With his debut album in the offing, Rewiz believes that, he is the new biggest thing coming on the Nigerian music scene, especially as it concerns afrobeat.

So far, the parents who are Rewiz major sponsors are doing anything humanly possible to encourage him in music.
