    Ahmed Musa to recieve N10m from NFF for reaching 100 caps

    Following his 100th appearance for the Super Eagles, Ahmed Musa, is set to receive the sum of N10million from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

    The Super Eagles captain was promised this by the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick.

    Musa achieved the milestone during the World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde on Tuesday.

    The former Leicester City winger started the game, which the Eagles went on to win 2-1 in Mindelo.

    Pinnick said:

    “Trust me, it is not an easy feat, but on behalf of Nigeria Football Federation, from today, once you mark 100 caps, you’ll get 10 million naira.

    “Ahmed Musa will get 10 million naira once he gets to Nigeria.

    “As we are getting to Nigeria, I’ll call Air Peace and you’ll get that your money.

    “I will ensure this because you have made me very proud, you have made the country very proud. The country needed this at this time.”

    Musa made his debut for Nigeria at the age of 17 in August 2010, when he came on to replace John Mikel Obi in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar.

    Musa becomes the third player to reach 100 caps for Nigeria after Joseph Yobo and Vincent Enyeama.

    The former Leicester City forward join the Turkish team on a free transfer after a short spell with his boyhood club, Kano Pillars.

    The financial details of the transfer were not revealed; however, he has been welcomed with open arms by the club and its fans who look forward to seeing their favorite side in the Turkish elite league.

    The club said in an Instagram post;

    “Ahmed Musa in Karagumruk

    “We added the 28-year-old Nigerian attacker to our squad.

    “He played for clubs such as VVV Venlo, CSKA Moscow and Leicester City in his career. He scored 15 goals in 87 matches for the Nigerian National Team.

    “We wish success to Ahmed Musa under the Karagümrük jersey, signed by our Vice President Serkan Hurma and our Sporting Director Murat Akın.
