Kim Kardashian and Kanye West get divorced

For the last month, reports have circulated that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s marriage is over. Neither party has filed for divorce yet, but according to E!, West is getting impatient. People and E! reported yesterday that the couple isn’t talking to each other.

Kardashian, a source told People, has “a divorce plan in place and will file when she is ready.” But she likely won’t submit paperwork until her family’s reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs, as her and West’s marriage breakdown is featured prominently as a storyline. The source said, “her issues with Kanye are a big part of the final season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” The source added that Kardashian will likely “file for divorce when the season has aired.” The season premiere is March 18, so it could be weeks until Kardashian makes the split official.

West may not wait that long though, E! was told. A source said, “Kanye is also completely done with the marriage and is moving on. He doesn’t care what Kim’s priorities are with holding off on a divorce announcement. He will file before she’s ready if he has to. He wants the divorce just as much as Kim does.”

A second source told E! that Kardashian and West “are completely done and no longer speaking.” Kardashian “is still working out the logistics of announcing the divorce,” the source said, emphasizing that separation from West is “completely official in her mind.”

Nonetheless, the insider says their separation is “completely official in her mind.”

Likewise, a second source shares, “Kanye is also completely done with the marriage and is moving on.”

Unlike his wife of six years, however, the Life of Pablo performer seems keen on making their split official sooner rather than later.

On Jan. 5, it was revealed that Kim and Kanye were coming to the realization that their relationship had run its course, despite their best efforts. At the time, a source told E! news, “It’s gotten to the point where they haven’t spent time together as a married couple in months… They’ve seen each other for the sake of the kids but have been living separately.”

The insider added, “Kim knows the marriage is over. She’s known for a while.”

Earlier this week, fans noticed that what was once West’s closet had been emptied out and converted into a Skims showroom, and a source told Page Six just yesterday that West had removed 500 pairs of sneakers from the home while Kim was on vacation, a thoughtful gesture to give him some space to remove his things.

As all signs point to West moving out of their shared Calabasas home, a new source now reveals a sad detail about the state of their relationship: namely, that Kim and West have “no contact” at all these days.

A source explains to People that Kim has only grown more confident in her decision to split amid her separation from West, and that she’s increasingly confident that her family can make the transition work. As that happens, she’s also grown more independent from West.
