The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 265 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Friday.
The 265 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 7526.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 167 patients from isolation centers across the country but no new death was also reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria topped the number of confirmed cases with a whooping 133 new cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 3357.
Thirty four new cases were reported in Oyo, 28 in Edo, 23 in Ogun and 22 in the Federal Capital Territory.
Others are 6-Plateau, 5-Kaduna, 3-Borno, 3-Niger, 2-Kwara, 2-Bauchi, 2-Anambra and 2-Enugu.
NCDC reports that there are 7526 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 2174 discharged and 221 deaths.
