    COVID-19: PCRC hands preventive materials to Zone 2 Command

    The Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in-charge of Zone 2, Mr. Ahmed Iliyasu alongside officers and men of the Zone received COVID-19 preventive sanitary materials from members Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Zone 2 Command.

    Some of the preventive materials donated to the Police Zonal Command by Alhaji Bashiru R. O. Balogun led-Committee includes: hand sanitizers, nose mask, hand gloves, dettol, izal, liquid soap, 20 litre buckets fixed with taps.

    Other Committee members that joined Alhaji Balogun to present the items are; ZDGS, Rev. Dr. Francis Osibowale, Financial Secretary, Rotarian Bankole Akibu, Welfare Officer, Alhaja Nurat A. Adebayo, member, Mr. Idowu Osho and Special Assistants to the Chairman, Pastor S. Otuya and Dr. Ishola Alade.

    Presenting the items, the PCRC Chairman, Alhaji Balogun, while appreciates the good work of the officers and men of the Zonal Command, which he said was made possible by the God-given proactive leader for the Zone, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu, the items donated is to assist the police in curbing spread of the deadly virus.

    He charged officers in the Zone to take into consideration all advice and directives given by the Federal government and medical practitioners while discharging their duties.

    Responding, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu, commended the spirit behind the donation and said he was so much proud of the Zonal PCRC, the Committee he said, has been projecting the ideals of the IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu NPM, most especially on Community Policing.

    AIG Iliyasu also praised the PCRC’s national led by Dr. Faruk Maiyama and its Southwest team under the leadership of Mogaji Ibrahim Olaniyan, Apostle Kehinde Showemimo and Arch. Venerable S. Popoola, the National Vice Chairman, Lagos state chairman, and Ogun state Acting Chairman respectively.

    Joining AIG Iliyasu to receive the items are: Zone 2 Director of Finance and Account DCP Fayoade Adegoke; Assistant Commissioner of Police for Community Policing, Bose Akinyemi; Zonal PPRO, DSP Hauwa Idris Adamu and Personal Assistant to the AIG, ASP Shuaibu Ango.
