The Minister of Health in Nigeria, Osagie Ehanire, has announced the third case of Covid-19 (coronavirus) in the west African country on Tuesday.
The case is that a Nigerian who returned to Lagos from the United Kingdom and developed symptoms during her 14-day self-isolation.
She is clinically stable and is being treated at Infectious Disease Hospital, Lagos.
An update from the Lagos State Ministry of Health, LSMOH, explained that this is a new case independent of the index case.
LSMOH noted that the victim is a 30 year old Nigerian who returned from the UK on 13th March.
She tested positive for coronavirus and is currently receiving treatment at the Mainland General Hospital.
