The Nigerian Army will showcase Africa’s first ever Army Vehicle Manufacturing Company (NAVMC) in a national broadcast on Sunday as it steps up effort to combat insecurity in the country.
NAVMC was officially commissioned in January and was expected to take-off with the production of the prototype of the light and heavy infantry vehicles at Rigachikun, Kaduna State.
The commissioning of NAVMC in January featured a facility tour of NAVMC’s production line, which include NAC-V production line, B vehicles assembly plant, fitter machine plant, engine overhaul shop, engine testing bay, fabrication, painting and spray shop as well as foundry and metal smith shop.

“This is to inform personnel of the Nigerian Army and interested members of the public that Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) will show/broadcast a 30 minutes documentary on the first ever indigenous Army Vehicle Manufacturing Company in Africa,” the Nigerian Army said on Twitter.
“The Nigerian Army Vehicle Manufacturing Company by 2030 hrs (8:30) pm today Sunday 30 June 2019. Please tune to the station by the time stated above.”
