Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has once again irked Nigerians by claiming he has nothing to do with constituency projects which he nominated in 2017.

In what was perceived as dishonest and untrue, the self-styled ‘Common Sense‘ senator blamed the nominated projects on President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministries.

Constituency projects are projects nominated by federal lawmakers for their constituency but executed by Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).

Responding to transparency platform, Tracka, the senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District in the 8th assembly deflected his responsibilities to the executive but got his hands burnt.

“That is false. To the best of my knowledge, I am the only Senator I know that shares his salary with his constituents. What @TrackaNG wanted accounted for WAS NOT my allowance,” he tweeted boastfully.

” It was money budgeted by @MBuhari’s minister that I have no power over! I have nothing to do with it!” he added.

But it took very little time for his bogus claims to be deflated by Nigerians who have observed how he has refused to account for N250 million which he nominated in 2015.

Ahmed Abdulkadir who was once worked in the national assembly was one of the first persons to react.

“I worked at NASS as an Aide for 4 years. You guys inserts those projects and recommend the companies to be awarded those same projects,” he tweeted.

Masanwoola Mayowa tweeted, “The speed with which you replied this baffles a lot, @TrackaNG tweeted at you for months before you replied it’s your constituency, you inserted those projects. The least you could do is to check them and give update but No, you come to Twitter and form common sense for us.”

Flabbergasted, Oluwatumininu asked, “Are you saying, by this submission, that you have no connections whatsoever with these constituency projects attributed to your constituency?”

“@TrackaNG didn’t say u should account for any money. What’s simply requested from you is to tell your constituents the level of implementation of the constituency project which you nominated for them as a senator. Its simple if you have nothing to hide. You owe your constituents this responsibility.”

All that @TrackaNG requests of you is to show Nigerians the status of the constituency project which YOU nominated & was provided for in the budget. Is that rocket science for you? Or you have forgotten the location of the project? Or perhaps you didn’t nominate any?

    — Tikkys (@Wanate) September 24, 2018

U have nothing to do with projects meant to improve d lives of people in ur constituency??U care less if it was completed or not?? This means u absolutely don’t care about them as long as ur allowance is forthcoming. U just keep raising d bar of foolishness on a daily basis.

Is that not what PDP does stomach infrastructure… Sir can you just point to a single project you have successfully delivered to your constituency with verifiable evidence sir.

@benmurraybruce did you proofread what your wrote? And I used to respect this man’s prudence, management skill and honesty way back during his days at NTA 2 Channel 5. I guess he’s been stung by the bee of political greed.
