England forward Harry Kane has signed a new contract with Bayern Munich that will keep him at the German champions until 2029.
The 33-year-old striker was heading into the last 12 months of the four-year deal he signed after his £86 million transfer from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023.
Kane has had a remarkable spell in Germany, scoring a club-record 61 goals in 51 matches last season as Bayern completed a league and cup double.
Speaking after signing the new deal, Kane expressed his happiness at staying with the Bundesliga giants, as reported by BBC Sport on Thursday.
“I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans, and the city of Munich,” he said.
“We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager. It makes me very proud to be part of this club.
“My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. I’m now looking forward to the future, and I want to win many more titles with this great club.”
During the 2025-26 campaign, Kane netted 73 goals across 65 appearances for England and Bayern, and last month he was named the world’s best male player at the Ballon d’Or ceremony.
He has also netted 102 goals in 102 Bundesliga appearances, claiming three Golden Boot awards in a row along with two league titles.
Since moving to Germany, Kane has found the net 156 times in 161 matches for Bayern, picking up five major trophies and a range of individual honors, among them the Bundesliga Player of the Season award for 2024-25.
The England captain has also kept building on his international legacy. He holds the record as England’s all-time leading goalscorer, with 73 goals in 65 appearances, and has matched Peter Shilton’s mark of 125 caps.
Kane struck six goals at this summer’s World Cup, becoming England’s all-time leading scorer in the competition with 14 goals in 18 appearances.
Kane arrived at Bayern in 2023 eager to prove himself at the highest level, following years of personal success without a major trophy at the club or international level.
