Nigerian gospel artist Tope Alabi has voiced her shock and grief following the passing of fellow gospel singer Toluwanisings.
In a touching tribute posted on her Instagram on Thursday, Alabi called the news of his death a huge shock, confessing that she was still finding it hard to accept the loss.
“It hurts!” the gospel singer mourned, voicing the anguish she felt over the death of her colleague.
Even amid her sorrow, Alabi said her Christian faith stayed a wellspring of hope and solace throughout this painful time.
The passing of Toluwanisings has left members of the gospel music community grieving, and Alabi’s tribute captures just how deeply the loss has been felt.
Chronicle NG reports that the singer collapsed at his residence and was rushed to about eight hospitals in Ibadan, Oyo State, before he died.
