The Imole Campaign Council of Governor Ademola Adeleke has pledged to deliver 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
In a statement released on Tuesday by its Director General, Senator Olalere Oyewumi, the council observed that the Accord Party’s structure in the state will strive to secure Tinubu’s victory at the polls.
The council credited this backing to the inclusion of Adeleke in the revised All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council list for the 2027 election, which the council acknowledged.
Adeleke was named the State Coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun.
The list also features the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike; Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori; and Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, along with other members.
Oyewumi said, “The Imole Campaign Council welcomes the appointment of Governor Adeleke as State Coordinator of the PBAT Presidential Campaign Council in Osun.
“The appointment is a well-deserved one. We assure the President that his confidence in the ability of Governor Adeleke to deliver Osun in the presidential election will not be misplaced.
“We promise the President, just like Governor Adeleke said sometimes ago, that we will deliver 1.5 million votes to ensure his victory in the coming presidential election.”
The TICC called on the people of Osun to have faith in the governor and back him “as he continues to deliver on his campaign promises. Casting a vote for President Tinubu is a way of supporting Governor Adeleke.”
The State Returning Officer of INEC, Prof. Joshua Ogunwole, announced Adeleke as the winner of the governorship election.
Running under the Accord Party, the governor secured 511,067 votes to beat the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who garnered 444,815 votes.
