Enugu Air will launch direct flights from Enugu to Douala, Cameroon, on September 23 as the airline moves to strengthen regional connectivity between Nigeria and Cameroon.
The airline’s Chief Operating Officer, Ugonna Agubuokwu, announced the new route in a statement on Sunday.
Agubuokwu said the service would bring businesses, families and opportunities closer while making regional travel more accessible and convenient.
“This is more than the introduction of a new route. It is about creating stronger connections between Nigeria and Cameroon, and making regional travel more accessible, convenient and seamless for our passengers,” he said.
The Enugu-Douala route will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Passengers travelling from Lagos and Abuja will also be able to connect to Douala through Enugu, according to the airline.
Flights from Enugu will depart at 12:45pm and arrive in Douala at 1:45pm.
The return flight will leave Douala at 2:30pm and arrive in Enugu at 3:30pm.
Agubuokwu said the schedule was designed to allow passengers from Lagos and Abuja to connect conveniently through Enugu.
“For business, for opportunity, and for the connections that matter, Africa is closer than you think,” he said.
The airline said the new connection further supports its ambition to simplify regional travel and improve connectivity across Africa.
Enugu Air was inaugurated on July 7, 2025, by Festus Keyamo, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.
At the inauguration, Keyamo said the airline would expand its operations to other African countries with regional flights.
