Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, has reiterated his devotion to the ruling party, claiming that he is not a nomadic politician or a vulture “flying from one tree to another” in search of personal ambition or political convenience.

The former Kano State governor made the explanation while denouncing misleading, malicious, and politically motivated posters circulating on social media that claimed he had defected to the New Democratic Congress.

Ganduje, in a statement issued on Friday by his former Commissioner for Information and Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, condemned the posters as a premeditated campaign of misinformation intended to mislead the public, cause confusion among APC supporters, and generate unnecessary political speculation.

According to the statement, Ganduje has remained firm in his political beliefs and has never considered leaving the APC, where he served as National Chairman.

“It is not only false but also illogical for anyone to insinuate that Ganduje has joined the NDC; such a claim lacks both political and logical foundation,” the statement stated.

Ganduje asserted that the APC remains Nigeria’s largest and most powerful political party, with President Bola Tinubu’s leadership boosting its popularity and solidifying its position.

The statement labeled the distribution of the posters as the work of desperate political mischief-makers out to destroy Ganduje’s name and cause undue concern inside the ruling party.

Ganduje further revealed that individuals responsible for creating and distributing the bogus posters had been identified and warned that unless they immediately withdrew the defamatory materials and stopped further dissemination, appropriate legal action would be taken against them.

He urged APC members, sympathizers, and the general public to dismiss the posters in their totality, claiming that they do not reflect Ganduje’s political views or intentions.

The statement underlined Ganduje’s commitment to working with Tinubu and the APC leadership to consolidate the Renewed Hope Agenda’s accomplishments and build the party for future political engagements.

It further asked the public to rely solely on official messages from Ganduje and the relevant APC organs about his political activity.
