Shan George, the ace Nigerian actress, has weighed in on the ongoing marital controversy involving media personality Frank Edoho and his estranged wife Sandra Edoho.
In a lengthy Facebook post, George condemned all forms of infidelity within marriage, while also addressing arguments that Edoho’s silence or “malice” toward his wife might have contributed to the breakdown of their union.
George argued that Edoho’s reported withholding of communication was simply his way of processing emotional difficulties and avoiding confrontation, not an invitation for infidelity.
She compared Edoho’s situation to that of musician Mr. Eazi, who she said once communicated marital grievances via email rather than direct conversation.
“Any man who’s joy stick rises for another man’s WIFE, has committed an unacceptable sacrilege, even if she and her man are keeping malice, or any other issues whatsoever between them, as long as the woman and her husband still reside under the same roof, it’s a No No,” she wrote.
“People keep malice wit each other everywhere, marriage, office, etc, even parents keep malice with their children sometimes. Malice is a part of life, we are all guilty of it one time or another.
“I remember not too long ago when music star Mr Eazi sent his wife an email, and she complained about how he’s kept her malice over the issue for days, only to be sending her e-mail discussing d same issue. He could have talked to her directly to talk about it, but he sent e-mail.
“Not everyone enjoys rancour or confrontations, so some people simply keep quiet for sometime, while they process.
“One’s Approach towards such periods is what determines a win or lose in that marriage. Any form of ‘Do me I do you’ must be avoided at such times, until you resolve the issues.”
The movie star was unequivocal in her condemnation of extramarital sex involving a married woman still living under the same roof as her husband.
“Traditionally, Spiritually, Morally, Romantically, and otherwise, sleeping with another man’s wife is a TUFIAKWA that carries generational curses,” she said.
“Mothers, please tell your sons.
“As for the ladies, please if the marriage Taya u, after u don try all ur best, pls leave d marriage, doing asiawo inside marriage is a sacrilege.”
George concluded by calling out Nigerian singer Chike, who has been rumoured to have had a relationship with Sandra.
“In conclusion, Chike owes Frank Edoho and all men who’s wives he has chewed, an apology. If u like chewing older women, it’s not a crime, but pls focus on chewing d unmarried ones. mytake #Shangeorge #onelove,” she added.
Edoho, best known for hosting ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ (WWTBAM), has been in the spotlight following fresh revelations about his marital history.
He was first married to broadcaster Katherine Obiang from 2003 to 2010. The union, which produced three children, ended after seven years. In 2013, Edoho married Sandra. The couple welcomed their first child in 2014 and a second in 2016.
Last year, Edoho announced that his second marriage had ended in December 2022 — an experience he described as “devastating”.
The media personality also recently declared that he would never commit to just one woman again and has moved on from the failed marriage.
Following the breakup, rumours surfaced suggesting that Sandra had cheated on Edoho with a Nigerian singer.
However, Sandra addressed those claims by accusing the TV host of multiple extramarital affairs, naming several women he allegedly had relationships with. She also accused him of domestic violence, including an alleged threat to kill her.
On Wednesday, Edoho denied all allegations of infidelity and domestic abuse, stating that the matter is now subject to legal investigation and he is legally restrained from disclosing certain information.
Chike has however not publicly responded to the allegations.
