The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has once again extended the registration deadline for the 2026 Direct Entry (DE) admission process.
According to the most recent update, registration will now run until May 22, 2026, providing prospective Direct Entry applicants more time to finish their applications.
The extension is intended to accommodate candidates who have yet to complete their registration due to difficulties in obtaining necessary credentials and other papers.
It should be noted that JAMB already extended the registration period to May 8, as well as approved the establishment of additional certified registration centers across the nation.
The new extension demonstrates the board’s commitment to ensuring that all qualified candidates are fully represented in the 2026 admissions process.
Prospective applicants have been advised to take advantage of the chance rather than waiting until the last few days to register.
Meanwhile, the Board is likely to ramp up preparations for the start of the 2026 admissions process following the forthcoming admission policy meeting on May 11, 2026.
