The Adamawa State Police Command has deployed additional night patrol teams to the Kofare-Agric region in response to complaints of suspected night attacks and residents’ pleas for improved protection.

The Command stated that the measure was intended to tighten security and deter criminal activity in the region while investigations into the alleged events are ongoing.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, stated that the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, reminded citizens of the Command’s commitment to the protection of lives and property throughout the state.

“The Adamawa State Police Command has taken note of reports alleging night attacks in the Kofare-Agric area and the call for an increase of police patrols in the area.

“In response, night patrols have been intensified with the deployment of additional operational teams to strategic locations within the area to deter criminal activities,” the statement read.

According to the police, the increased patrols are part of a larger proactive security strategy being undertaken in partnership with sister security organizations and local stakeholders.

“While investigation into the reported incidents is ongoing, proactive security measures have been strengthened in collaboration with sister security agencies and community stakeholders,” the statement said.

The Command asked Kofare-Agric inhabitants to remain calm and continue to cooperate with security services by providing accurate and timely information.

“Members of the public are urged to remain calm and continue to provide timely and credible information to the police through established channels,” the statement reads.

Residents were also asked to contact the police in case of an emergency at 08030693476, 08089671313, and 08033635201.
