Bayern Munich extended their unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season with a victory over Bayer Leverkusen, moving them five points clear at the top.
Vincent Kompany’s side won their eighth league title in a row, and their 15th overall, as the defending champions proved unstoppable so far.
Serge Gnabry scored the first goal of his 250th Bundesliga game in the 25th minute, beating Leverkusen goalkeeper Mark Flekken.
Six minutes later, Nicolas Jackson scored his first league goal for the club since signing on loan from Chelsea in the summer.
An own goal by Loic Bade added to Leverkusen’s misery, as their outstanding run of 37 Bundesliga away games without defeat came to an end in spectacular fashion.
Jackson also had a goal disallowed for offside and headed another shot over the bar in a strong performance leading the line, while Harry Kane was given a rare respite.
England’s captain, Michael Olise, and Luis Diaz began on the bench before coming on as part of a quadruple substitution in the 59th minute.
By that point, Bayern had taken entire control of the game, moving five points ahead of second-placed RB Leipzig, while Leverkusen remained fifth.
Bayern travels to Paris St-Germain on Tuesday, November 4 (20:00 GMT), while Leverkusen visits Benfica on Wednesday (20:00 GMT).
