Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of Nigerian striker, Tolu Arokodare, from Genk in a transfer worth £24 million.

The club confirmed the move on September 1, 2025.

The 6ft 6in forward, who won the Belgian Pro League Golden Boot last season, has agreed to a four-year contract at Molineux as Wolves seek to bolster their attacking options.

According to BBC Sports on Monday, “the 24-year-old, who scored 21 goals in the Belgian Pro League last season, will support forward Jorgen Strand Larsen, with Wolves having turned down £50m and £55m bids from Newcastle for the Norwegian last week.”

Arokodare’s arrival comes at a crucial time for Wolves, who sit at the bottom of the Premier League table after losing their opening three fixtures of the 2025/26 campaign.

The Nigerian began his European journey in 2019 when he joined Valmiera, netting 22 goals in 34 matches. He later moved on loan to Bundesliga side, FC Koln, before switching to French club, Amiens, where he spent two years and scored 21 goals.

At Genk, Arokodare featured five times this season, finding the net once before his move to England.
