The funeral service for Abisola Kola-Daisi, the late former Oyo State Governor’s eldest daughter, was held on Thursday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, Trinity Tower, on Victoria Island in Lagos.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was among the dignitaries that attended the funeral service on Thursday.

Sharing photos from the event on X, Sanwo-Olu wrote, “Today, I attended the funeral service of the late Abisola Kola-Daisi, nee Ajimobi. Abisola’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit touched many, and her absence will be deeply felt.

“My thoughts and prayers are with her family as they navigate this painful time. May her soul rest in peace.”

The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin, was also present at the funeral service.

He wrote on X, “I paid my last respects today to the daughter of late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, former Governor of Oyo State, Abisola Kola-Daisi, at the RCCG City of David in Lagos.

“May her gentle soul rest in peace, and may God comfort her family, especially her husband, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, and their children during this difficult time.

“May we continue to uphold the values of empathy and kindness that Abisola embodied during her lifetime. May her legacy live on through her family. Rest in peace, Abisola.”

According to the family’s burial arrangement, a private interment will follow the funeral service.

Chronicle NG reports that she died at the age of 44 on March 27, 2025, in London following an illness.

She is survived by her husband, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, and three children.
