Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, has made several changes to his social media pages.

The Afrofusion star recently cleared all posts from his Instagram feed, where he has 17.6 million followers.

Burna Boy, however, retained some photos and videos from his Instastories.

Checks by Chronicle NG on Tuesday showed the singer replaced his profile pictures across platforms, including Instagram, X, and YouTube with a black loading icon.

He also shared a cryptic post via his X page, hinting at an upcoming rebrand.

    “#NewProfilePic Update 2.20,” he wrote.

While Burna Boy has yet to provide further details, the move has led to speculation that he is preparing to announce a new project or era in his career.

Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy gained fame after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013).

Since then, he has released seven albums: ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013), ‘On a Spaceship’ (2015), ‘Outside’ (2018), ‘African Giant’ (2019), ‘Twice As Tall‘ (2020), ‘Love, Damini‘ (2022) and ‘I Told Them‘ (2023).

He has also won several awards. In 2021, the Afro-fusion artiste won the ‘Best World Music Album’ category at the Grammy Awards for his fifth album ‘Twice As Tall’.

In April, the Port Harcourt-born singer made the Time Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people for 2024.
