The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) of Nigeria has said it is not undertaking any recruitment exercise, contrary to social media claims.

Reports have been making the rounds on social media about a fresh recruitment opening by the civil service.

A statement issued on Thursday by Taiwo Hassan, FCSC public relations officer (PRO), said the information did not emanate from the commission.

Hassan described the claims as “fictitious,” adding that there is no fresh recruitment at the commission.

He warned the public to be wary of imposters, adding that the commission would officially announce any recruitment exercise through its website or national dailies.

“The attention of the FCSC has been drawn to information making the rounds on various media platforms about advertised vacancies and recruitments in the commission,” the statement reads.

“The commission unequivocally declares that the information containing the commission’s website, and the name of the director (recruitment and appointment) did not emanate from the commission.

“It is fictitious and should be disregarded.”
