Protesters have broken into the Nigeria Communication Commission, NCC, in Kano State, looting valuables.

The hunger protest that began all over the country today took a sad turn as aggrieved youths broke into the office of the NCC in Kano State, looting valuables.

The protesters raided the Digital Innovation Park, slated for launch next week to support technical talent acceleraton.

Goods worth millions of Naira were reportedly looted, as the looters could be seen carting away with laptops, computers, chairs, and other valuables.

The “hunger protest,” aimed at drawing the attention of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration to certain pressing demands of Nigerians, kicked off on Thursday.

At the time of filing this report, the Kano State police command had yet to comment on the incident.

In other news, operatives of the Nigeria Police stationed at the Eagle Square in Abuja have dispersed protesters with teargas and pepper spray.

At 10:30 a.m., police fired canisters after firing warning non-lethal rounds at the ground.

Following the warning shots, an enraged demonstrator approached the police officers, holding up a baby and daring them to shoot.

As other demonstrators joined her, they confronted the officers and challenged them to shoot.
