Nigerians have demanded the immediate prosecution of Mr. Obinichi Nnorom, a lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt, over alleged sexual harassment of students.

While drumming for his sack, among other things, Nigerians noted Nnorom should be made to pay for his crimes to form a deterrent to others.

Chronicle NG reports that Nnorom, a lecturer with the engineering department of the institution, was seen in a now-viral video making sexual passes toward the student in his office.

The yet-to-be-identified student, who was disenchanted by his gestures, was seen trying to avoid further molestation from her lecturer.

Nnorom, in the video, fondled the student’s breasts despite her attempts to shove him away.

It is alleged that the randy lecturer is known for molesting his students for grades.

Reacting to the video of Nnorom molesting his student, Mallam Salihu Bamle notes, “This is deeply concerning and goes against the principles of trust and safety within academic institutions.”

He added that “the University of Port Harcourt must investigate this matter and take decisive action against the lecturer if found guilty. Such behavior is unacceptable and undermines the integrity of the institution.

“The university must prioritize the well-being and protection of its students by ensuring a safe learning environment free from harassment and misconduct by its staff.”

Comfort Fajugbagbe stated that. “This is bad from someone’s father. I just hope he has been sacked, because that is what he deserves. Putting students under unnecessary pressure just for your selfish gain.”

Calling for his prosecution, Fisayor Bianca said, “He should be jailed and serve as a lesson to others, but this is Nigeria; nothing will happen to him if he knows ogas at the top.”

Temi Rossie also stated that “this man should be jailed as soon as possible. This is enough evidence.”

In his reaction, an X user identified as Dee1 said, “I’m watching; everyone is watching; the world is watching to see how this man will be handled. This is a clear case of sexual harassment. I hope they make an example of him.”

The alleged randy lecturer has also been accused of sexual harassment by Miss Jane Chidi, his former student.

Reacting to the video, Jane Chidi accused Nnorom of failing her in school for refusing his sexual passes.

In a statement on Instagram, Chidi alleged that she had an extra year at the institution because of the randy lecturer.

“I remember this man. Mr. Obinichi is from the engineering department. He frustrated me from year two until my final year. He failed me too many times in his course just because he wanted to sleep with me,” Chidi wrote.

“I had an extra year in UNIPORT just because of this man’s course. I hope people see this,” she added.
