Hajia Fatima Aliko-Dangote, Executive Director, Commercial Operations at Dangote Group, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to eradicating the country’s high youth unemployment.
She, who made this statement at the recently concluded Lagos International Trade Fair during “Dangote Day,” stated that since its creation, the President of the Group has always wanted to assist the country’s three tiers of government in eradicating poverty.
According to her, the best way for the company to accomplish this is to help eradicate youth unemployment in the country.
She stated that the company was the largest employer of labour in Nigeria outside of the Federal Government and that the group’s top aim was to generate additional job opportunities for the country’s teeming youths.
“The desire of our President, Aliko Dangote, is to ensure that Nigerian youths are ably employed, because it is only when this happens that they can also contribute their own quota to the growth and development of the county. And once the youths are also positively engaged, the security challenges of the country will abate,” she stated.
