Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has been voted Manager of the Month for October, becoming the first manager in Premier League history to win the title in the first three months of a season.

Since taking over in the summer, the popular Australian has taken English football by storm, with his team being unbeaten in their first ten games.

Spurs’ progress was slightly halted by a chaotic 4-1 defeat to Chelsea on Monday after they were reduced to nine men, but it has still been a fine start to the campaign.

Last month, Postecoglou managed three victories—against Luton Town, Fulham, and Crystal Palace—to make it three months in a row that he has won the award.

By the end of October, they had won eight and drawn two of their ten top-flight games.

Spurs had achieved double success in addition to the Player of the Month title, with James Maddison and Son Heung-Min receiving the honours in August and September, respectively.

However, Mohamed Salah was named for the sixth time in his career after scoring five goals in three Premier League games for Liverpool in October.

Postecoglou joins an exclusive group of only three other managers who have won three or more monthly awards in a row, including Pep Guardiola, who is the only manager to have won four in a row, Antonio Conte, and Jurgen Klopp.

Spurs won 1-0 at Luton last month after Yves Bissouma was sent off in the first half, and Tottenham then easily defeated Fulham in a 2-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Spurs won 2-1 against Crystal Palace after a hard-fought encounter in which they found a way to win despite a poor performance.

They return to action on Saturday lunchtime when they travel to the Wolves, although Postecoglou will be missing many key players due to injury or suspension.

This group comprises Micky van de Ven, James Maddison, Destiny Udogie, and Cristian Romero, who have all been instrumental in Spurs’ strong start to the season.
