    Mohbad’s Death: Police to begin thorough investigation

    The Nigerian Police has announced plans to thoroughly investigate the circumstances that led to the death of talented Nigerian artist Oladimeji Aloba, popularly called MohBad.

    This was disclosed in a statement on X by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.

    While expressing his condolences over the demise of the superstar, Adejobi noted that due to “concerns regarding his untimely demise”, “the Nigeria Police Force is committed to a comprehensive investigation into this matter”.

    He further noted that “the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been tasked with unravelling the circumstances surrounding his (MohBad’s) death.”

    His statement on X reads, “Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends, and fans of the late Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad, who recently passed away. We understand the concerns regarding his untimely demise.

    “The Nigeria Police Force is committed to a comprehensive investigation into this matter, as the Lagos State Commissioner of Police has been tasked to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death. Rest assured, updates will be provided as investigations unfold.

    “We encourage family members or close associates with valuable information to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to assist in this process.

    “In the meantime, we kindly request that individuals refrain from making statements or engaging in activities that could jeopardize the ongoing investigation.

    “Your trust and support are deeply valued. We encourage family members or close associates with valuable information to approach the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to assist in this process.

    The superstar, who had been making waves in the music scene, tragically passed away on Tuesday at the age of 27.

    Mohbad was known for his unique blend of Afrobeat and hip-hop, gaining him a dedicated fan base and earning him recognition in the industry.

    Details surrounding the cause of his death remain undisclosed, leaving fans and fellow artists shocked and saddened by the sudden loss.

    He is survived by his wife, Omowunmi Aloba, and their son, Liam.
