    Popular skit maker Maruf Abdullahi, aka “Trinity Guy,” has been remanded in the Agodi correction center on Tuesday by a Family Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, for allegedly sexually exploiting a 10-year-old girl.

    Mrs. P. O. Adetuyibi, the presiding Magistrate, ordered that Abdullahi, 31, Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife Rofiat Ahmed, 29, the child’s parents, be remanded in Agodi.

    According to reports, the police charged Abdullahi, along with the parents of the victim, with conspiracy and sexual abuse or exploitation.

    • Court remands skit maker Trinity Guy in Agodi prison

    Insp. Oluwakemi Arowosaye, the Prosecution Counsel, had earlier told the court that Abdullahi, Ahmed, and his wife Rofiat allegedly conspired together to commit sexual abuse.

    He stated that “Trinity” was accused of sexually abusing and exploiting a 10-year-old girl in the Kuola neighborhood of Ibadan on December 17, 2022.

    According to the police, the offense violated Section 35 (1) and was criminal under Section 35 (2) of the Oyo State Child Rights Law 2006.

    Also, she stated that it also violates Section 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.

    The case has been adjourned until Aug. 3 for a hearing.
