Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege’s suspension from the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been refuted by the party.

This information is found in a declaration from the Delta APC Executive Committee that was signed by Mr. Peter Akarogbe, the party’s secretary in Warri, and Elder Omeni Sobotie, the state head of the party.

The APC claimed that Omo-Agege, who ran as its nominee for governor on March 15, was still an actual party member.

It claimed that the article claiming his alleged dismissal was the product of agitators who falsely claimed to have held posts at different party levels throughout the state.

In conversation with all other levels in the hierarchy, we, the genuine and only acknowledged state executive committee of the APC at the national headquarters, hereby disavow the publishing as false, deceptive, and of no consequence.

Therefore, all party members and the broader public should dismiss and overlook it as the work of troublemakers.

“At the various conventions that the party organized, the executive committee members of the APC at the ward, local government, congressional district, and state levels were properly chosen by genuine party members in an open process.

“As a result, they continue to occupy their posts and responsibilities legally and in line with the All Progressives Congress constitution.

The statement read, “Therefore, it is advised that the general public, party faithful, and stakeholders discountenance the said publication, and view it as the pointless undertaking of men with crooked intentions.”

The signatures, the APC continued, were not only questionable imposters but also extremely careless, and their claims shouldn’t be accepted because they might disturb the serenity of the community.

However, it urged the state’s police, Department of State Service (DSS), and other security agencies to pay attention to the wanton mischief and dishonest intention to disturb the calm in the state.
