On Monday, bandits kidnapped ten pupils from the Government Secondary School, Awon, a day secondary school in Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
Samuel Aruwan, Kaduna Commissioner for the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, verified this in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the Commissioner, the State Government has received early reports from security agencies regarding the kidnapping of the students.
According to preliminary reports, Aruwan stated that the precise location of the incident is unknown.
He said detailed reports were being awaited to clarify whether the incident occurred within the school premises or elsewhere.
