Election Observers from the European Union (EU) have praised election officials and ad hoc staff from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for successfully coordinating the 2023 election.
Mr. Deleen Michel, Team Leader of one of the EU observers, gave the commendation in an interview with journalists on Sunday at the INEC collation Centre in Surulere, Lagos.
“I congratulate Independent National Electoral Commission officials. They have effectively managed the polling stations.
“The young Nigerians who ran the polling stations were friendly. “They did an excellent job,” he said.
Michel also led his team to Lagos’ Oworonshoki neighborhood on Saturday before arriving in Surulere.
Van Der Stijl Leonie and Sabi Oinabwhen are members of his team.
Michel stated that his team had no problems at the locations they visited.
