It was another moment of joy and celebrations in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Friday as a lawyer, Chimeka Woke, received the keys to a 3-bedroom apartment won in the ongoing Festival of Joy promo packaged by the foremost digital services company, Globacom.

The 26-year -old Woke, a father of one, said he could not believe his ears when he received a call from Globacom. According to him, he had just dropped off his recuperating father in the hospital for a physiotherapy session and was waiting when his phone rang only to be told that he had won a 3-bedroom apartment.

“I literally abandoned my dad and ran to the Glo office on Aba road just to be sure I heard well”, he said, adding that “ it sounded too good to be true for someone staying in his father’s Boys’ Quarters to be called and told he had just won a house”.

Woke who was full of gratitude to Globacom for initiating and sustaining the Festival of Joy promo said, “ It was as if God and Globacom were monitoring me”, adding that he had been thinking in the last few weeks on how to mobilize funds to rent an apartment that his small family of wife and daughter would move into.

The chairman of Ahoada Local Government Area, Barrister Ben Eke, paid glowing tribute to Globacom, which he said had a reputation for giving back to society. He said, “For giving people opportunity to own a house, I must congratulate you. I am going to be your ambassador in propagating your good works”.

National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC)’s Head of Licensing and Operations at the Port Harcourt Zonal Office, Mr. Walson Dambo, who commended Globacom for running a very transparent promo said the commission had been following the promo to ensure compliance.

To participate in this Festival of Joy promo, Globacom said, “ Voice and data customers just have to dial *611# and recharge with N500 weekly to stand a chance to win the rechargeable fan, N2,500 monthly recharge for the Sewing Machine, N5,000 monthly recharge for the generator, and N10,000 monthly recharge for the car”, it added that “subscribers who desire to become landlords and landladies of 3-bedroom houses like today’s winner courtesy of Glo Festival of Joy must make data subscription(s) of at least N20,000 during the promo period”.

Unveiled in November, 2022, subscribers stand a chance to win a total of 20 units of three-bedroom houses, 24 brand new cars, 100 generators, 200 sewing machines and 1,000 rechargeable fans in the customer loyalty reward promo.
