At least 42 former aides of Willie Obiano, a former governor of Anambra State have died in the last two years, some of the surviving aides have claimed.
At a reunion meeting in Akwa, the State capital on Sunday, the aides urged the incumbent governor, Charles Soludo to pay them the severance they are owed.
They claimed that 42 former aides are dead without receiving their severance although they did not state the cause of their deaths.
According to the Daily Post, Anambra State Deputy Governor, Onyekachukwu Ibezim who graced the occasion encouraged the former aides not to despair.
Ibezim, a former aide to Obiano is one of many persons who served under the Obiano government and now serving with Soludo.
Last month, Obiano had stated that the payment and appointment of some of his aides into Soludo’s government was part of the conditions for him to support Soludo to succeed him.
