Rose Idibia, the mother of legendary artist Innocent, also known as 2Baba, has urged Nigerians to assist her in persuading Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawuru to leave her son.

She made the request in a video that went viral Thursday evening.

Mrs. Idibia claims that 2Baba is currently in a bad mood as a result of his divorce procedures with his estranged wife Annie.

“Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2Baba. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son.

“My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him.

“Please, Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and on his neck, remove them and free him,” she said.

Chronicle NG reports a viral video on Thursday that captured the moment 2Baba proposed to Osawaru.

In the video, the African Queen crooner and the lawmaker were seen dancing together to the admiration of some of their friends.

2Baba later proceeded to present Osawaru with a ring, after which they were locked in a warm embrace.
This comes just a day after the musician openly announced his romantic relationship with Osawaru, causing social media to explode.

The news comes after his recent split from wife Annie Idibia, and the singer has expressed his desire to pursue a relationship with Osawaru.

Following 2Baba’s appearance at the Edo State Assembly and the release of a video showing the two together at a Lagos club, speculation about their connection grew.

Responding to the rumors, the African Queen singer turned to Instagram on Tuesday to clarify the situation.

In the video, he said in part, “Allegedly, I have seen so many things, so many people coming up with their own false narratives and malicious nonsense after I posted that stuff that I posted. Yes, I posted what I posted.

“Hon. Natasha has been dragged; she has been called all sorts of names; she has been labeled as a homebreaker.

“She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman, and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage. Yes, I love her. She is amazing, and she is cool. I want to marry her.”

Osawaru is a politician from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who represents the Egor Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly.

She was elected in April 2023 and represents the Egor Local Government Area in Edo State.
