Men of the Yobe State Police Commad have arrested a suspected kidnapper carrying an AK-47 gun filled with ammunition.
He was apprehended in the state’s Fika Local Government Area.
A motorcycle was recovered from the suspect, according to Ahmed Garba, the State Commissioner of Police.
Garba told journalists following a security council meeting at the Government House in Damaturu that police agents also shot and killed another suspected kidnapper in Fune Local Government Area.
The police commissioner stated that the Yobe State Police Command is on top of the issue and that security personnel would continue to crack down on all criminal elements in order to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
