Former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, has welcomed a fourth wife into his family following a low-key wedding held in Abuja.

The private ceremony, which took place recently, saw Bello tie the knot with Hiqma, his new bride, in the presence of close family and friends.

The news was confirmed on Instagram by his third wife, Hafiza Yahaya Bello, who shared a heartfelt post celebrating the latest addition to their family.

“Alhamdulillah, our family just got a little bigger and more loving! A warm welcome to our new family member, Mrs. Hiqma Yahaya Bello! May Allah bless our union and fill our home with love, peace, and Barakah. Amin,” she wrote.

Bello, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), served as governor of Kogi State from 2016 to 2023 and earned national attention as Nigeria’s youngest sitting governor during his tenure.

Before his marriage to Hiqma, Bello was already married to Amina Oyiza Bello, Rashida Yahaya Bello, and Hafiza Bello.

The 48-year-old politician is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, where he earned both his BSc in Accounting and Business Administration and his Master’s in Business Administration.

Known for keeping his personal affairs largely out of the spotlight, Bello’s latest marital move adds a new chapter to his expanding family life.
